"Minerva" Daybed

A "Minerva" daybed designed by the architectural duo Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen for France & Søn in Denmark. A defining piece of Danish Modernism, the design is celebrated for its elegant simplicity, clean lines, and the honest expression of its construction.

The frame is crafted from solid teak, featuring the designers' signature curved edges and tapered conical legs. The piece has been fully restored and fitted with a new, custom-tailored mattress and matching cylindrical neck roll. Upholstered in premium cognac leather with classic button tufting, the warm tones of the hide complement the rich, aged patina of the teak frame.
