Pair of Lounge Chairs (Model 83)
A matched pair of Model 83 lounge chairs designed by Nanna Ditzel in Denmark in 1952. Produced by Søren Willadsen, this model is a celebrated example of Ditzel’s ability to soften the rigorous lines of functionalism with a distinctively organic, feminine touch.
The chair is defined by its continuous, semi-circular backrest that flows seamlessly into the armrests, creating an enveloping, tub-like silhouette. The low profile and compact footprint make it exceptionally versatile for urban interiors. Newly upholstered in dense cream sheepskin, the voluminous texture enhances the chair's rounded forms while contrasting elegantly with the tapered, angled wooden legs.
